ABOUT US

When we first visited the Cotswolds in 2012, we instantly fell in love with the area and have since returned for birthdays, celebrations and weekends away.  We knew that we wanted to be part of this special place somehow and when we found Roman House, it ticked all the boxes.

The epitome of old England is echoed in every aspect of the Cotswolds.  From the characterful period properties lining narrow streets to the welcoming country pubs and postcard perfect vistas, you can see that this is a photographer’s dream. Attracting an estimated 38 million visitors all year round, the area is adored by walkers, cyclists, bikers, equestrian enthusiasts, and tourists .

When you experience the Cotswolds, you discover a slower pace of life, trickling streams and thatched cottages with their imperfect rooflines. This area of natural beauty has something for everyone and makes a great place for your next break.

Lovingly known as the capital of the Cotswolds, Cirencester is an ideal base to start your adventure. Enjoy walks around the Cotswold Water Park, sip champagne and bask in the sun at Cirencester Polo Club, enjoy the independent boutiques, and antique shops, discover market places and haggle a bargain, explore the different towns and enjoy a picnic over looking green fields. Bicycle rides take you across stone wall lined roads or why not stay local and stroll into Cirencester and visit the shops and craft markets a stones throw away. End your afternoon with a cream tea whilst watching the world go by.

Having spent time in the Cotswolds and loving every corner of this beautiful area, we now want to share our happy place with you. With our attention to detail and home from home feel, we do hope you enjoy your stay at Roman House.
