ROMAN HOUSE

Our grade II listed cottage exudes historical elegance with its preserved architectural charm. Each room showcases original features like the single glazed chamfered stone mullion windows and the fire places that feature in each of the rooms. This timeless character dates back to 1889 during Queen Victoria’s reign when the cottage was rebuilt. The mixture of heritage seamlessly merges with modern comforts and provides a unique living experience.

Accommodation is set over three stories including an attic room, with a yard to the rear. Roman House does not have parking as the main modes of transport in the 1800’s were carriages and bicycles! Free parking can be found on neighbouring roads.

Superbly located on an old Roman road, our property at Lewis Lane marks almost the exact site of the central crossroads of the Roman town (Corinium) as it was. The property is situated within a 3 minute stroll (depends how fast you walk!) of the centre of Cirencester.
